ED Primer Localization Project

The automotive manufacturing sector is expanding its scope, with the variety of vehicles and sales volume increasing year by year. Notably, the consumption of water-based ED primer (cataphoretic primer), widely used in the automotive industry, is rising, and the current annual demand in the Republic of Uzbekistan stands at 3,000 tons.

The high demand for this coating in Uzbekistan’s automotive and other industrial sectors significantly increases our dependency on imports. Currently, the country imports around 3,000 tons of ED primer annually, mainly from the Republic of Korea and the People's Republic of China.

By implementing this project, we aim to reduce the import of 3,000 tons of ED primer, worth $9 million annually. This will not only improve economic efficiency but also contribute to the development of local production, strengthen independence, and enhance economic stability.

Undoubtedly, this project holds great potential for the future development of the industry.
